Primo Puppies

Kevin and Shelby Taffner have been raising puppies since 2010.  We have 3 amazing children, who love to help take care of the puppies.  We live on a farm in Lamar, MO, where we raise beef cattle and take care of our four-legged friends.

We have a small facility, hand-selecting the best dogs, carefully chosen for conformation and temperament.  Our goal is to provide a quality, healthy, loving companion for our customers..

We are USDA, state, and AKC licensed.  We have gone above and beyond  and have exceeded the requirements for state licensure, meeting the enhanced standards of the Blue Ribbon Kennel Program.  In addition to USDA and state inspections, all of our dogs are also seen annually by our veterinarian, Dr. Neil Willard, and we are inspected by the American Kennel Club.   We are also AKC Bred with H.E.A.R.T. participants.

Everyone of our dogs, once they are of age, are health-tested and certified by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA)

for breed-specific genetic diseases.  The OFA's mission is to  promote the health and welfare of companion animals through a reduction in the incidence of genetic disease.  A copy of the parent's certificates will come with the puppy.

 We have a top-of-the-line veterinary program.  All puppies are seen by our vet, Dr. Neil Willard, around 6 weeks of age, and then at least one more time before they leave for their new home.  All puppies are started on a vet-approved vaccination and deworming protocol, and are current on all when they leave our home.  

We do not let our babies leave us until 9-10 weeks of age and greater than 2 pounds.

Our babies are well-socialzed, loved and vetted before they leave us.  Once they are ready to go, they will leave with:

Vaccination and deworming record - all puppies will be current on age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings.

Registration paperwork - most of our dogs are AKC registered

Small bag of dog food (Nutrisource Small Medium puppy food), and a can of soft food 

 Puppy wellness checkup by our licensed Veterinarian and a State of Missouri health certificate

 Puppy will only come with at travel crate if being shipped by air.
